As The Honor Network President and Co-Founder, Chris Heisler is charged with upholding the organization’s mission to remind Americans of the sacrifices made by the men and women in uniform; a subject with which he has first-hand knowledge.

In April of 2003, Chris put his career on hold and enlisted in the United States Army. He participated in a special program with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command where he utilized his extensive IT background to help develop a gang member intelligence database that was used by area police and federal law enforcement.

As part of the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq, Chris was instrumental in providing U.S. Servicemen and women with invaluable communication tools, such as the Internet and telephone access, as well as secured communication.

He has experienced success in the professional world also and currently serves as a federal energy compliance and regulations manager for a major technology company. In 2009, he received a congressional nomination to sit on the NERC standards board.

Police Officer with 23 years in law enforcement, dedicated and practice safe security measures and conflict resolution techniques to handle crisis and emergency situations. Currently serve as a Public Information Officer (PIO).  Began my current position in June of 2005.  Throughout my 15 years a PIO, I have had the responsibility to handle Crisis Communications, Scene Management and National Events.

Angela Tsuida retired from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department after serving 28 years; 1 year as a police dispatcher and 27 years as a Deputy Sheriff.  Angela joined the Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard team early on in her career, spending over 20 years traveling throughout the country to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.


Angela was first introduced to Chris Heisler in May of 2010 when the US Honor Flag came to San Diego to honor Deputy Ken Collier (EOW 2/28/10) and US Border Patrol Agent Robert Rosas Jr (EOW 7/23/09).  Angela became involved with the Honor Network shortly thereafter and had the honor of having the US Honor Flag in San Diego two more times before she retired; in 2011 to honor San Diego Police Department Officer Jeremy Henwood (EOW 8/7/11) and in 2013 to travel to Arizona with San Diego law enforcement officer to honor the 19 firefighters who lost their lives in the Yarnell Fire (EOW 6/30/13).


Angela retired from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department in January 2020, but still remains involved with the Honor Network and its commitment to honoring those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Dr. Mary Myers currently works as a technical instructor for Cloudera Inc., a big data company.  Mary teaches data scientists and system administrators who deal with distributed computer systems and extremely large amounts of data.  


Mary has a diverse educational background with a bachelor’s degree in architecture (b.arch), a master’s in computer education and a doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D). She also holds numerous certifications including Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Certified Technical Trainer (CTT), Certified Program Planner (CPP), e-Trainer, and several others. 


Mary has over 25 years in instructional experience in both business and academic environments. Her work experience includes the Director of Computer Education at an area college, Computer Information Systems professor at major universities, and Training Manager at various energy businesses including several fortune 100 & 500 firms. Mary has been a member of several boards including homeowner associations, professional organizations, youth sports team, and several college and university advisory boards.

Captain Martina began his law enforcement career with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in 2005 where he was a police officer until 2007. In 2007, he became a State Trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) where he served in that role for 5 years. In 2012, Captain Martina promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he served as a road patrol supervisor until 2014. In 2014, he promoted to the rank of Lieutenant where he was the Assistant Chief of Public Affairs for FHP until 2016. In 2016, Captain Martina promoted to the rank of Captain and assumed the command of FHP’s Statewide Office of Professional Compliance until 2018. In 2018, he transferred to FHP’s Background, Recruitment & Selection Office where he served as the Statewide Commander until July 2020. In July 2020, Captain Martina transferred into the role as FHP’s Statewide Emergency Management Coordinator where he currently serves. Captain Martina has also been the FHP’s Statewide Honor Guard Commander since 2014.

Coach Randy Dunton has a track record of transforming programs into Champions. After graduating from Baptist Bible College in 1984, Dunton became the head basketball coach at Anchorage Christian Schools where he led the Lions to their first ever AAA State Championship. Coach Dunton became the first coach in Alaska to compete in 5 consecutive State Championship games. In 1989 he named Men’s Assistant Basketball Coach at Liberty University. Dunton’s first recruiting class was the foundation to LU’s first NCAA Big South Conference Tournament Championship & NCAA East Regional bid. 

In 2002 Dunton was named Liberty University’s Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Immediately the Flames were transformed into a perennially championship contender with the 2004 LU team winning both the Big South regular season & tournament Championships. Randy currently works in all facets of Commercial Real Estate and is the Founder/Executive Director of Legacy Education Center. LEC is an educational non-profit assisting individual in breaking the cycle of poverty to attain Gainful Careers. Randy is married to his high school sweetheart, Nadine. They are proud parents of Ashley, Matthew & Emilee and blessed grandparents to Hudson & Halle.

David is an innovative and dynamic leader who merges technical skills with strategic thinking to find solutions to complex problems.  He brings 36 years of experience in the transportation and travel industry, having worked from the bottom up in varying capacities. He has worked as a Check Airman, Manager of International Operations, Technical Pilot, Manager of Training Standards, Flight Operations Duty Manager, and Chief Technical Pilot Communications. His skillset is adept at managing multiple teams with cross-functional capacities to drive solutions by using technology and human factors engineering. David is also an entrepreneur as the Principal at The Syatt Group, focussing on strategic sourcing by helping businesses change the culture and find efficiencies in processes to help drive profitability.  He also volunteers his time with youth to help influence and direct the next generation of leaders. He is currently rated as a captain on the B737, B757, B767, B747-400, and the A319/320.

Cindy spent almost 20 years as a Police Officer, starting her career with the Durham Police Department, NC, and finishing her career with the Grand Junction Police Department, CO. Cindy was part of the Grand Junction Police Department Honor Guard for 13 years. Cindy had the Honor of being assigned to Chris Heisler and The U.S. Honor Flag when Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Derek Geer was killed in the line of duty on February 8, 2016. Hero Derek Geer was honored with such reverence by everyone involved that soon after he was laid to rest, Cindy knew that honoring heroes was her calling. Cindy retired from Law Enforcement in September 2017 to volunteer full time with The Honor Network. Cindy and U.S. Honor Flag Founder Chris Heisler married in 2018 and now travel full time honoring Heroes.

Danielle has been proudly married to a LEO for 10 years.  Together they have 4 children.  She is a project manager for a hotel management company located in Denver, CO.  She began helping with US Honor Flag with lodging accommodation’s back in 2015
